Our patterns are drafted for an average height of 165 cm.
How do I fit the pattern to my measurements?
In each of our instructional booklets that come with your pattern there is information that will guide you on choosing your best size. At this step you can make any needed changes to your pattern for a better fit.
There was a mistake with my purchase. What do I do?
If there was any sort of mistake with your order, such as selecting a duplicate pattern or entering the wrong email, please send us an email to contact@dressmakingamore.com and we'll get it sorted out for you!
How do I print and put together the pattern?
To print your pattern correctly on your computer without a free program like Adobe Acrobat, make sure that your settings are set to "Scale: 100%" and that you aren't printing double-sided. Print the first page first, and check that the control square is exactly 10x10 cm or 3"x3" as written. Then print out the rest of the pattern.
To print our nested patterns with Adobe Acrobat, please make sure "Actual Size" is selected.
You will see a faint border around the pattern guiding you where to cut off the margins. There are also circles in the corners helping you match the pages together. The letters indicate the rows, and the numbers indicate the columns.
We have a detailed video on this here.
Can I print at a copyshop?
Yes! Most (though not all) of our patterns come in two formats: A4/Letter for home printing in the US and internationally and A0 for copyshops. Please message us at contact@dressmakingamore.com if you have questions about a specific PDF pattern.
Can I sell clothes made from the pattern?
Yes! As long as you aren't selling the pattern itself, you are free to use the pattern and sell the finished garment.
