In this sewing challenge, we will all together make this beautiful dress with exclusive detailed step by step video lessons that will guide you through each and every part of the sewing process. You will receive the sewing pattern and instructional booklet the 1st day of the challenge (Sep. 1st) so you can sew this dress as soon or as late as you like :) All other content will be added following the challenge schedule.

  • Thin spaghetti straps

  • Invisible zipper closure at Back
  • A-line skirt with 10 godet inserts
  • Lining optional (included in dress version #2)
  • Mini length: 45-46 cm (18") Midi length: 83 cm (32 1/2")

Materials Needed

  • 2.7 - 6 m (3 - 6 5/8 yd) woven dress-weight fabric
  • 40 cm x 3 cm (16" x 1 1/4") interfacing, 2 strips
  • 60 cm x 1 cm (24" x 3/8") fusible stay tape (optional)
  • 30 cm x 3 mm (12" x 1/8" thick) foam fabric for bra
  • 50 cm (22") long invisible zipper
  • Plush underwire casing (optional)
  • Thread

RECOMMENDED FABRIC:

→ Woven, dress-weight fabric that doesn't stretch, and isn’t see-through, doesn't have a directional pattern, nap, or shine. Suggested: Silk, Faux Silk, Poplin, Cotton, Linen, Peach Skin, Georgette, Lawn.

DA Size Chart

  • Measure your Bust, Waist, and Hip circumference to choose your best size. 

When working on a top piece, (top/dress) choose your size pattern based on your Bust measurement.

When working on a bottom piece, choose your size pattern based on your Hip measurement.
