This beyond-elegant Opal dress is made of 8 panels that flow into an A-line silhouette from the fitted halter-neckline bodice & the gorgeous open low back.

Pattern Description

  • A-line silhouette 8 panel dress
  • Fitted bodice with shaping princess seams
  • Halter neckline with button closure at the Back
  • Open low Back
  • Invisible zipper closure at the Center Back
  • Inseam pockets
  • Fully lined
  • Mini length: 48 cm (19") from waistline down
  • Midi length: 85 cm (33 12") from waistline down12 panel princess seam dress

Materials Needed

  • 1.6 - 2.5 m (1 3/4 - 2 3/4 yd) woven fabric (see chart)
  • 1.6 - 2.5 m (1 3/4 - 2 3/4 yd) lining (see chart)
  • 3 cm x 40 cm (1 1/2" × 20") interfacing, 2 strips for CB
  • 1.3 cm х 2 m (1 1/2" × 20") bias fusible interfacing strip
  • 60 cm (23 1/2") stay tape or long strip of organza
  • 38 cm (15") invisible zipper
  • 2 buttons 18L (11 mm)
  • 1/8" × 10 cm (4") elastic cord for button loops
  • Invisible zipper foot
  • One sided zipper machine foot
  • Eye & hook

DA Size Chart

  • Measure your Bust, Waist, and Hip circumference to choose your best size. 

When working on a top piece, (top/dress) choose your size pattern based on your Bust measurement.

When working on a bottom piece, choose your size pattern based on your Hip measurement.
